An Original Frosty the Snowman

December 20, 2007 / by donnamg

It was in 1954 that Frosty the Snowman first came to television. The UPA Studio aired a 3-minute animated cartoon short on WGN-TV. It was so popular, it became a regular feature on that station for a number of Christmas seasons. Although not as often, it will pop up on TV every once in awhile, buy many have not seen this original since the 50's and many others have never seen it at all.

I'm sorry. I know you can't do YouTube. [SAD] It is a cute cartoon, though. I thought I remembered seeing it before, but I'm not so sure about it. After all, it came out the year I was born and did have limited air time only on certain networks. It was fun to watch it, that's why I posted it. [SMILE]

I'm glad you liked it! I thought it would be different for people to see. We have all see the new animated one that is a full show, but few have seen or recall this one. The black and white is pretty clear and good, isn't it?[THUMBUP]
