I Love New York Quiz (Easy)

November 27, 2007 / by donnamg

In light of all the problems we've been having with Blogster and all the frustrations that have gone along with the problems, I think we should have a little fun. This is just a simple little trivia quiz about New York City. Answer the questions the best that you can, take a guess if you have to. Remember, this is just for fun...there are no gold stars, but no one will get a bad mark on a report card, either!

1. Who is the current mayor of NYC?

2. True or False: New York City is made up of 5 boroughs.

3. What is the tallest building in NYC?

4. "59th Street Bridge Song (Feeling Groovy)" was a hit song for Simon
and Garfunkel. What is the other name for the 59th Street Bridge?

5. Penn Station is one of the two main railroad stations in NYC. What is
the other one?

6. The New York Knicks is NYC's pro basketball team. Knicks is an
abbreviated name. What is the actual full name?

7. The Easter Parade takes place on what NYC avenue?

8. Here are a number of well-known New York City landmarks, except
three (3) do not belong. Which three?

Holland Tunnel........Central Park........Madison Square Garden
Apollo Theater........Carnegie Hall.......Times Square
Waldorf-Astoria.......Yawkey Way.......Javit's Convention Center
Greenwich Village...Gracie Mansion....Sak's 5th Avenue
Grant's Tomb..........Wall Street..........The Bowery
Brooklyn Bridge.......Picadilly Circus...Avenue of the Americas
UN Building............Chrysler Building...Rockefeller Center
O'Hare Airport.........Bryant Park..........Tavern On the Green

Sorry, no answers are being provided (it's too much of a temptation to cheat when the correct answers are given). If you need any answers, just ask.

This was very interesting. I really struggled with a lot of them. Some did not know at all.

Did you eventually find/get the answers or do you need them? I will provide any you may wish to know. Sorry that you didn't find the quiz so easy because I didn't want to make people have to think too hard.

I use to go to New York City every Easter and Christmas. Loved the rocketts, chestnut for $45 bag (well it seemed that high) Patricas Murrays or murphies forgot lol. No trip would be complete with out a horse buggy ride through central park. Easter was riding through Harlem staring at all those wearing their furs and jewelery, some girls would even be out,,,,, lol and all the beautiful autos in front of all those horrible housing developements. Thanks for bringing back those memories.[THUMBUP]

I'm so glad this brought back such good memories! I loved...and still love... visiting NYC. You're right about the chestnuts, but I bought them every time![SMILE]
