Today is the Big Game! The Super Bowl! I am a real fan of football and love to watch games throughout the season and in the post-season. I have a number of teams (and players) I especially like, so I can be happy watching just about any game there is, including the championship game at the Super Bowl.
This year, though, as in a few past years, my all-time favorite team will be playing in the Super Bowl! The New England Patriots are sort of like the "home team" and it makes us fans proud that it's a team that wears red, white, and blue. The Pats, as we like to call them, have given football fans a great year for watching the sport. Although they may have only squeaked through on some of their wins, they did win every game they played throughout the entire season and records were broken. Now comes their ultimate test, not only for the championship, but for the record books. Not only will they be recognized for being undefeated for the season, they can be recognized for being entirely undefeated...for the season and post-season. (I know, I know, some will bring up the issue of the Patriots being caught at cheating. Even if that might have helped them in a game or two, in no way did it assist in any other games. And, although it doesn't excuse the incident, the Pats got caught doing the same thing that had been done to them in the past and they did get fined, which they paid, and it doesn't take away from the true talent and skills that the players really do have.)
Now, I do have something to say about the New York Giants. They are a fine, strong team. To almost come out of nowhere makes them an eager-to-win team with a point to prove. A lot of credit must be given to Manning....no, not Payton, but his brother....for the faith he had in his team and the determination to be a powerful team. A Super Bowl win will be a triumphant and rewarding accomplishment for both the team and their fans.
It should be a great game! I, of course, do so want the Patriots to be the winners! I believe they can do it! Unlike other championshiip games for other sports, there's only one shot at winning this one. No series. No best out of's. Just one chance to do it. I wish a good game for the Giants, but I wish for a New England Patriots win!

It is so nice to see the Pats winning. Historically, they have been a typical New England team ... get our hopes up and dash them, but they (and the Sox) have been doig so great!

Gee, is my Blogster acting up tonight! I click on something and it stays highlighted. I can't upload pictures or delete them or post them. I had one strange graphic appear completely out of the blogging box, up over the Blogster heading! Anyways, my reply to you (if it works) is that the Patriots have been giving us a lot of thrilling games and seasons lately, so it does make it so much for fun and enjoyable.
I'll stick to my super bowl--a bowl of linguini with all sorts of sea food and diablo sauce!
Of course being a Floridian I am suppose to be rooting for the Giants an that whole Dolphin thing but--shhhhhh--don't tell anyone--for you and Alfredo I hope the Patriots win.
I'll take a bowl of that linguine. I can enjoy that while I'm enjoying the Super Bowl game on TV! (You can keep the seafood for yourself.)
I do appreciate you being willing to root for the Patriots. This, of course, is being written AFTER the game, so the Giants won and nobody has to shhhhh anymore.
Hope that you have enjoyed your day! However, I'm with Martin. I must begin watching football!
It was a good day. And, now that the game is over, I can say that it was a good game. My team didn't win, but only one can and the Giants played better. Oh, well. But, hey, it was still a good day.
