Ha! Ha! Last week's weather thought it might cast it's usual depressive mood on me, but I outsmarted it for sure! Although the saying goes, "Don't fool with Mother Nature", I wasn't going to let Mother Nature fool with me!
So what if it was raining and storming and cold and raw and gray and gloomy and it didn't feel like spring anymore! Sure, I didn't LIKE it, but I wasn't going to let it get me down! I chose to assume that Mother Nature was giving me a break from chasing after every blooming delight and ray of sunshine so I could do other things, so I turned my focus from the "big picture" to my "own little world".
And, it worked! I got the stove all cleaned and shiny. (I already told Edie not to cook anything for at least a week so the stove stays looking so good!) I boxed up all the winter-type footwear and stored them in the basement. I hand-washed garments that have been crying out for clean, fresh smells for weeks. I polished some of the harder-to-reach and harder-to-do pieces of furniture. I redesigned my MySpace page...awww, it's so pretty! I also read a lot of blogs and hundreds of emails!
Another great thing I got to do was to watch a few movies that I had missed. Two were broadcast on television and one was on DVD, which Edie's nephew INSISTED we had to borrow from him because he just KNEW we would LOVE IT! (Hey, he's 10-yrs. old and he KNOWS we're like kids, too!)

So, again, I say Ha! Ha! I actually didn't even mind the weather at all, now that I think of it! After all, I got so much accomplished!

Hey you really did get smart with the weather! Well done.
Options, choices. I think you made some fun ones. reads like my days the past week, that's why I'm behind on responding to comments left and posting early AM.
Oh well, let the fun flow, as I say
go with the flow.
fun..hon.
Yep, I did! And, right after all the outsmarting, the weather changed and spring was back again!
Well, thank you, Jackie. All I know is that I try like heck...and sometimes it works.
Hey, ana, I know about the early AM stuff. I'm replying to you at 3:15 AM! There just aren't enough hours in a day sometimes!
