Allow Your Own Inner Light to Guide You
There comes a time when you must stand alone.
You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own dreams.
You must be willing to make sacrifices.
You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved.
Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged.
You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own dreams.
You must be willing to make sacrifices.
You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved.
Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged.
There are times when you must take a few extra chances and create your own realities.
Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better.
Be confident enough that you won't settle for a compromise just to get by.
Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life.
Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight that should lead the way.

It really is true. Sure, we want to get along with others and share a lot of different things, but at least some of that should be because it's what we need and it fulfills and serves our needs. We are responsible for our own thoughts and actions, so we must do what is best for ourselves to carry out what actually might benefit others, too, so it's important not to let our decisions and actions become selfish, uncaring, dangerous, or hateful in any way. It is possible to let our inner light guide us by what the Spirit has taught us AND for the goodness of that light to radiate out to and for others. I'm sure that is what you do, and that is why your life has improved.
I see that you approve and maybe agree with this? I have a feeling you have an inner light that you follow and share because evidence of it can be seen and felt in/through in what you write in your posts.

How do you define this "inner Light?"
As the brain is to my body of flesh, so is my mind to my spirit body. My Mind is my "inner light" that shows me the way to go and what to say. In fact, it was my Mind that introduced me to God and his written word, which guides my Mind & body today. It is our inward man that connects us to God at all times.
Proverbs 20:27>The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
Bibletalk, I am so sorry...I meant to reply to your comment but I mistakenly posted it as a comment. I make this little boo-boo every once in awhile and it makes me a little frustrated when I discover it. If you look below this, you will see the reply that was meant for you and you would have already received if I had done things correctly.
Good morning, bibletalk. Yes, the inner light is made up of and guided by what we have let in, so receiving and accepting that spiritual light becomes who we are, our thoughts, our actions, therefore the light that will guide us, protect us, and define us. This, that is so right, may hopefully help others to also accept and live by the good light and reject any evil or absence of light that they may be following, believing, or searching for. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful comment.
Good morning, donnamg. Thank you for receiving my comment!
"accept and live by the good light and reject any evil or absence of light"
Well said! You have just completed the message of the Bible.
It teaches that, God is light and in him is NO DARKNESS....
However, Man, being both flesh and spirit, is divided and have trouble determining which to follow at all times. Which gives us our daily ups and downs, not knowing that we had a perfect choice to choose light and have a nice day all day every day.
Years ago, I pooled all of my desires together in one pile, my Wants and my Needs. When I move today, I accomplished both, my Wants and my Needs. They are one, as I am one person and not two, never having to return to indecision or poor choices. Nowadays, I handle the simple things in life, nothing higher than 1 or 2, all else I leave to my Mind, it's my infinite computer, which has unlimited range, not being teathered by my fleshy body.

Wonderful post, Donna. I have been blessed by a husband and parents who love me and instill confidence that I can take chances. Even though it's terrifying at times I am much happier when I try.
Thanks for sharing.

p.s. I tried to respond to your comments on my posts, but it wouldn't work so I just typed in another comment. Thanks for always leaving such great comments for me.
Oh, maybe the commenting and replying feature was experiencing a hiccup? It's hard for me to tell sometimes because I often do the wrong thing and comment when I mean to reply...so, I'm not always sure if it's Blogster or me that causes something to not work correctly.
Great post - very prophetic words we should all live by...I especially liked the line about being my own sunshine - definetely need to work on that one.
